As part of the new license issued to Chelan PUD for the Chelan Dam, habitat restoration work must be done in Reach 4 of the Chelan River adjacent to the powerhouse.  This will enhance this area for fish spawning in the future.  Work will begin in the spring of 2008 and will continue through 2009.

During the time that re-constructive work is being done, Powerhouse Park will serve as a staging area and as a result will not be available for public use.

Chelan Falls Park, located across the road from Powerhouse Park continues to be available as well as Beebe Park, just across the Columbia River as well as Chelan Riverwalk Park, located in the city of Chelan.
