Celebrate fall at Rocky Reach! Bring the whole family for an afternoon of trick-or-treating, hands-on activities, games and seasonal fun throughout Rocky Reach Park and the Discovery Center. Discovery Days: Drop-In Workshops
November – January | Select Saturdays, 10am–3pm
Spark some curiosity this winter at the Rocky Reach Discovery Center! Join us for Discovery Days, a series of free, hands-on workshops exploring the wonders of water, salmon, and electricity. Discover how the Columbia River watershed powers our communities, follow the incredible journey of migrating salmon, and experiment with the science of electricity through interactive games, creative activities, and exciting challenges. Each month brings a new theme and plenty of opportunities to learn, play, and explore! Free admission. Big fun. All ages welcome!
November 7 & 21 | Wonders of Water: Explore the Columbia River watershed, discover the water cycle, and learn how moving water generates clean energy.
December 5 & 19 | Salmon Adventures: Dive into the salmon life cycle, explore fish anatomy, and discover the incredible journey salmon make through rivers and oceans.
January 9 & 23 | Electrifying Energy: Get hands-on with circuits, static electricity, energy transfer, and electrical safety through fun experiments and interactive challenges.
Adjacent to the Discovery Center and powerhouse are 17 acres of award-winning lawns and gardens, playground equipment, picnic shelters, arboretum, turbine exhibit, horseshoe pits and pergola. Fun awaits!
