  • Jan 7, Jan 14, Jan 21, Jan 28, Feb 4, Feb 11, Feb 18, Feb 25: Family Fun Energy Extravaganza: Saturdays at 10am and 2pm
      • Explore the world of energy — mechanical, kinetic, electrical, and light — at the Family Fun Energy Extravaganza every Saturday in January and February at 10am and 2pm, in the STEM Center at the Rocky Reach Discovery Center. Attendance is first come, first served. The Energy Extravaganza is a free, 1-hour journey designed for grandparents, parents, and kids to learn, laugh, and experience together. Afterward, the fun continues with some take home experiments and activities. Be sure to stop by the Discovery Center for four floors of fun exhibits and games. Admission is free

  • May 22 - June 2:  River of Power
  • Summer Science Adventure: July 5-7 Kindergarten -1st graders and July 19-21 2nd graders - 3rd graders. All classes will be held from 9am – 11:30am. Call (509)661-8437 to learn more and to register.

Playground, Park Shelters and Special Events

Adjacent to the Discovery Center and powerhouse are 17 acres of award-winning lawns and gardens, playground equipment, picnic shelters, arboretum, turbine exhibit, horseshoe pits and pergola. Fun awaits!

Field Trips and Class Visits

The Discovery Center is designed to inspire and challenge students of all ages. Learn about Centrifugal and Centripetal Energy, Open and Closed Circuits, Electromagnetic Spectrum, Center of Gravity, PSI and Hydrostatic Pressure, External and Internal Fish Anatomy, Columbia River History, Magnetic Energy and more!
