What is Powerpay?
Powerpay is Chelan PUD’s paperless billing and online account service.
  • By enrolling, you are signing up for paperless billing, you will receive your bill notification by email, view your current and prior bills, make online payments, view payment history and sign up for automatic payment plans.
  • Powerpay is a quick, easy, and convenient way to manage your Chelan PUD bills and payment online. It is available 24 hours a day.
  • Paying online either by using Powerpay or Pay Now is a more secure method of payment than sending a check by mail, and you save on postage.
  • The Pay Now option offers a quick way to make a one-time payment without saving your payment information each month.
What information do I need to use Powerpay or Pay Now?
To get started, you will need your 10-digit Chelan PUD account number, 5-digit mailing zip code, a valid email address and your checking or savings account number or VISA or Mastercard number.
When signing up, I am receiving a message “authentication failed” or “We could not authenticate your information.” Why?
Please check your 10-digit PUD account number and 5-digit mailing address on your most recent utility bill. For zip code “12345-0000,” enter 12345 and don’t use spaces in a postal code “Z4R81Y.”

How do I view my bill?
By enrolling in Powerpay, you can view your current and past bills. Log in to Powerpay, from your Inbox, click on the blue underlined link in the Description section, this will be your most current bill. To view prior bills, simply click Prior bills in the menu and click on the blue underlined link in the Description section.
How do I update my credit card expiration date?
After logging in to Powerpay, click on Payments>click on Payment Methods>Select the payment method that you need to update>update the credit card expiration date>Click update. In order to update the expiration date on a credit card that is associated with a payment that has already been scheduled, please call us (509) 661-8002. You can see that your payment has been scheduled by looking at the Payment Activity status in Powerpay. Note: You may be one of our customers on the previous auto payment plan. Please call us at (509) 661-8002 and we can help you make this change.
If I pay my bill through other online bill payment services, (i.e., my bank) can I sign up for Powerpay?
Yes, you may receive your PUD bill via email, view your bill and payments online and continue paying through your online banking payment service.
What if I forget my User ID or password?
From the log-in page, click “Forgot your password or forgot your User ID,” from the login page and follow the steps to get a new password or call (509) 661-8002 for assistance.
What is the account nickname?
The account nickname is used to help identify your choice of payment method, i.e., “VISA” or “home checking.”
How long does it take to process my payment?
Payments take a maximum of two business days to process. For example, a payment made after 5 p.m. will not be processed until the evening of the next day.
What if my payment is late?
If your account is delinquent and your service is subject to disconnection, please do not use Powerpay without making arrangements through our Credit Department. Call (509) 661-8002. Note: if the account is past due, an online payment may not prevent late fees or disconnection.
Can I access my payment history?
Yes, you will be able to view all payments made to the PUD after July 25, 2011.
Is my account and payment information secure?
Yes. Powerpay has state-of-the art security measures in place to protect your account and private information.
Can I donate to SNAP or Helping Hand by using Powerpay?
Yes, you have the option to enter an amount to donate towards SNAP or Helping Hand when submitting a payment. Note: If you already have a specific amount set up on your bill, your payment may result in multiple donations.
