Our Coronavirus Response

Chelan PUD response to COVID19

COVID-19 Customer Support Information

Chelan PUD appreciates that our customers have continued to pay their bills during this difficult period. We realize though that some of our customers may need assistance with their bills or to make other arrangements to pay their bills due to financial hardships resulting from layoffs, reduced hours, or other circumstances caused by the pandemic. There are many assistance programs that you may qualify for, and our Customer Relations team encourages you to contact our offices to discuss your account to find the best solution to help during this challenging time. Please call us at (509) 661-8002, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday or email customerhelp@chelanpud.org.

Suspending shut-offs and waiving late fees

To protect the health and well-being of our communities and families, customers with past-due accounts (electric, water and wastewater) will not be facing disconnection or late fees. This pause in shut-offs and late fees does not relieve customers from the obligation to pay for utility services though. We ask that you contact us if you may have problems paying your bills so that we can work together to development repayment solutions.

Payment arrangement options

While the PUD is unable to cancel past due accounts, PUD Customer Representatives can work with customers to make payment arrangements that can be designed to fit your individual needs including longer term payment arrangements for customers with higher balances. Contact us at (509) 661-8002 to find solutions that will work for you.

Ways to pay

PUD lobbies remain closed; however, there are still many ways to make payments.

  • Drop-boxes by doors at our Chelan, Leavenworth and Wenatchee offices
  • Automated payment line at (509) 661-8729
  • Online with Powerpay
