Public Power Benefit Fiber Build-Out

Under the vision of "The best value for the most people for the longest time”, we review the number of unserved premises and current infrastructure for cost of construction and potential connections, not to exceed the board approved 27 million dollars allocated to the program.

Once an area has been selected for inclusion, infrastructure will be designed the first year, with construction and connections made within three years.

Under the PPB program, the goal is to provide access and connections to customers within the service areas. Premises that may require extensive construction to connect, will get reviewed for inclusion.

Areas for inclusion in the PPB program are reviewed and selected on an annual basis through the District’s budget process.

Any of the following could cause delays in the build out of planned PPB areas

• Condition of existing infrastructure (including electrical) could require unplanned resources, including materials and labor
• Permitting and easement acquisitions from property owners
• Emergent work such as wildfire and other natural disaster mitigation and reparation is prioritized
• Labor and supply resource availability
