What & Why
Chelan County PUD has identified the current water source for Olalla Canyon, a natural spring, has migrated outside of it’s historical collection box and is no longer a reliable supply to serve customers in this area. The PUD will soon switch the spring water source to a new well, located in the same vicinity as the existing spring. We do not anticipate customers will notice any appreciable difference in water quality or pressure since water chemistry tests and the artesian nature of the well indicate they are the same water source.
What to Expect
- A PUD contractor has been performing work and you may see them again in the area
- Work to switch from the existing spring to the new well will continue in the next few weeks
- We do not anticipate any water outages during this work
