UPDATE ON ELECTRICAL UPGRADES IN THE FISH LAKE AREA
What
Electrical upgrades are needed to maintain reliable electric service for the Alpine Tracts and Idlewild. Increased electrical use in the area has created the need for additional capacity to serve these developments. As part of the electrical upgrades, conduit will also be installed to prepare for future fiber network expansion.
Now:
- Work has started in Phase 3. We expect to be in the area through mid-September.
- This includes dirt work and installation of electrical equipment (duct and vault).
- Work will soon finish in Phase 2. Work in Phase 1 is complete.
- Conduit for fiber cable is being installed as part of this project.
- We anticipate PUD crews will be back in 2025 to finish pulling new electrical and fiber cable in all Phases.

- Working hours are generally Monday - Friday, 7 a.m. - 5 p.m.
- Please watch for crews and traffic signage in the area.
