Duct Sealing Rebates

Sealing ductwork in homes can reduce energy waste by as much as 20%, improve air quality, and increase year-round comfort, especially in rooms that are too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter. Chelan PUD offers cash-back rebates to help customers save now — and in the long run — with duct sealing.

Valid for applications received April 1, 2026 - March 31, 2027.

*New! Income-Qualified Rebates will be available to low- and moderate-income customers starting fall 2026.

Requirements

  • Chelan PUD electric customer with existing site-built single-family or manufactured home (no new construction) in Chelan County.
  • Residence must be primarily heated with permanently installed electric heat. Home eligibility is based on the customer's previous winter electric heating usage. Note: Vacation rentals may not qualify.
  • Ducts must be in the attic or crawlspace to qualify.
  • Conditioned living spaces only (no garages and other unheated areas).
  • Duct sealing must be completed by a licensed technician. Find a local contractor. 
  • Rebate applications must be submitted within 12 months of service completion.

Rebate Application

It's time to prepare your rebate application materials! Either the Chelan PUD customer or contractor can submit the residential rebate application on behalf of the customer. 

Here's what you'll need to apply:

  1. Prescriptive Duct Sealing Data Collection Tool form at the time of installation, then submit the completed form to Chelan PUD by email at [email protected].
  2. Invoice or receipt showing cost of duct sealing (labor and materials before rebate).

After filling out the application, the customer will receive an email to sign the required Chelan PUD Energy Efficiency Agreement.

Print & Mail

Print the Prescriptive Duct Sealing Data Collection Tool and mail, along with any other documentation, to:

What Happens Next?

  • Please allow 6-8 weeks after the receipt of a complete application for processing.
  • Rebate cannot exceed the total project costs.
  • Payment is by check mailed to the customer.
