Sealing ductwork in site-built homes can reduce energy waste by as much as 20 percent. Benefits of duct sealing include:

Requirements

  • Duct sealing must be done by a licensed contractor. Technicians are trained and certified to seal leaky duct work to ensure that the HVAC system delivers conditioned air where it's needed inside the home, not to the attic or crawlspace. 
  • The ducts in your home must be in the attic or crawlspace
  • Your contractor will need to fill out the Prescriptive Duct Sealing Data Collection Tool form at the time of installation, then submit the form to Chelan County PUD.
  • Rebate applications must be submitted within six months of duct-sealing project completion.

Process Overview

Find a certified local contractor. We recommend getting multiple bids to find the right fit for you.

2. Installation & Form

Have your technician complete the form at the time of installation.

3. Apply

After your technician fills out the form, send it to Chelan PUD.

4. Review

We'll review your application and may ask follow-up questions.

5. Get Your Rebate

If approved, you'll receive a rebate check by mail 6-8 weeks after applying.
