In January of 2014, PUD Commissioners launched a community conversation called Our Public Power: the Next Generation. More than a thousand customer-owners shared ideas for investing in the future.
Teams of community members and employees narrowed these ideas down into recommended options. More than 5,000 customer owners expressed their preferences, and Commissioners used that input to set priorities in the District's strategic plan.
The video below introduced customer-owners to the strategic planning process, posing the questions: "What does quality of life mean to you? How will we invest in the next generation?"
