Why Does My Bill Look Different?

You may have noticed that Chelan PUD billing statements are now mailed, and they look different. ChangeHealthcare, the company that produced paper and online customer bill statements on behalf of Chelan PUD, remains out of service for the foreseeable future. Chelan PUD has been working hard to find a long-term solution, but in the meantime, customers will continue to receive the simplified paper billing statement.

Billing Updates - Frequently Asked Questions

When ChangeHeathcare, the company that produced our bills, unexpectedly went out of service, we quickly pulled together a basic bill in order to stay on schedule. However, we understand that usage information is critical to understanding and managing your bill – and we prefer it too. Since then, one of our top priorities has been to restore detailed billing statements, including energy usage (kilowatt hours), water usage (by gallons), bill calculation detail and separate information from multiple meters. More detailed billing statements are coming soon.
No action is needed. Your automatic payment will continue to be processed as usual. Your printed statement is for informational purposes only.
ChangeHealthcare, the company that produced the online PDF bill statements for emailing, remains out of service for the foreseeable future. Paper statements are sent to all customers while we seek a long-term solution.
Please continue to pay your bill as normal, including paying online, via mail, or at payment kiosks or drop boxes in Leavenworth, Chelan or Wenatchee.
No, it’s unfortunate that these two unrelated events occurred around the same time for some customers. The new meters provide the foundation for Chelan PUD to provide even more customer tools in the future, such as high-use alerts and web-based tools for energy savings.
If you receive a suspicious call, email or text about your bill, do not respond. Instead, contact our Customer Relations team directly at 509-661-8002. We never request alternative forms of payment, such as wire transfer, cash cards or gift cards. When in doubt, contact us directly.
