How It Works

Getting expert energy advice is easy—whether you own or rent!

1. Book online

Select a time online for your home energy audit and choose whether you'd like it virtual or in-person.

For virtual audits, select your video call service.

2. Meet your advisor at home (in-person) or join your video call (virtual)

Meet your Chelan PUD energy advisor and walk-through your home to identify ways to save.

3. Get your personal energy tips

After your audit, your energy adviser will email you their recommendations and next steps.

Common Questions

You'll join a video call with an energy advisor to walk through your home virtually. You'll need:
1. A portable device, such as a cell phone or tablet, so you can move around the interior and exterior of your home
2. Stable WiFi or cellular Internet access that covers both inside and outside your home
3. Familiarity with one of the video conferencing services listed below
4. Access to a tape measure and ladder are also recommended
We offer virtual audits using one of the following video conferencing apps and services. You'll select which one you'd like to use when booking your audit.
Home energy audits are available for booking up to 2 months in advance and are first-come, first-served. If all upcoming audits are already booked, please check back. Booking days open on a rolling basis.
If you're not sure how to video conference, we recommend scheduling an in-person home energy audit. Both virtual and in-person audit options are currently available--just select which you prefer when you book.
Chelan PUD's free home energy audits are a great place to start finding and prioritizing ways to save electricity at home, but they are limited to an hour.
