Curious what future Chelan PUD is driving toward? Here’s your chance to review the proposed 50-year vision, a guiding document nearly a year in the making. The proposed plan is centered on nine bold, ambitions goals and is available at chelanpud.org/imagine2075.

Under the 50-year vision, a new mission statement will guide the PUD’s work: Provide essential services to empower the community. The plan also proposes a new vision: Create bold, enduring value for future generations.

Customer-owners can share feedback in two ways: Email customeroutreach@chelanpud.org, or take a short, open-ended survey which will be available at chelanpud.org/imagine2075 later this week.

Commissioners are inviting comments from customer-owners, staff and stakeholders, and will discuss the feedback on Dec. 16.

In other news, commissioners:

• Heard a forecast of growing electrical demand in Chelan County. Commissioners are considering purchasing property in South Wenatchee as a potential substation site.
• Approved the 2025 operating and capital budget as submitted Nov. 18.
