WHAT:
The water main currently serving your neighborhood is nearing the end of its service life. To ensure continued safe and reliable water service, Chelan County PUD has contracted Smith Excavation to install a new water main in your area (see green highlighted section on the map). Please note that the existing water main will remain in service until the new system is fully installed and ready for operation.
WHEN & WHAT TO EXPECT:
Start Date & Duration: Work is scheduled to begin in mid-June and will continue through the end of July.
Working Hours: Construction will typically take place Monday through Thursday, from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Traffic Impact: The roadway will remain open throughout the project; however, expect occasional short-term stoppages. Please stay alert for flaggers and posted signage for your safety and the safety of the crew.
Water Outages: A brief water outage will be necessary when the service is switched over to the new main. If your service is affected, you will be notified in person or via a door hanger prior to the outage.
Construction Activities: Chelan County PUD contractor Smith Excavation will be performing trenching work along the roadway to install a new water main. The trench will be approximately 4 feet deep, and after the new main is in place, the area will be restored by replacing the asphalt.
