Installing a moder, energy-efficient thermostat will give you better temperature control and comfort while saving money. 

Chelan PUD offers cash-back rebates to help you save now — and in the long run — when you install a qualifying thermostat.

Thermostat Rebates

Valid for applications received April 1, 2026 - March 31, 2027.

  • Chelan PUD electric customer with home in Chelan County.
  • Home must be primarily heated with permanently installed electric heat.
  • Line-voltage communicating thermostat rebate eligibility is based on the customer's previous winter electric heating usage; only smart thermostat rebate is available for new construction.
  • Conditioned living spaces only (no garages and other unheated areas).
  • Must install a qualifying thermostat model that meets product and installation requirements (see "Qualifying Thermostats" section below for details).
  • Limit of two smart thermostat rebates per dwelling.
  • Installation may be done by a contractor or customer self-installation.
  • Application must be submitted within 12 months of contractor installation or purchase date for self-install.

Rebate Application

It's time to prepare your Chelan PUD rebate application materials! Either the Chelan PUD customer or contractor can submit the rebate application on behalf of the customer.

Here's what you will need:

  1. Invoice or receipt showing total project cost (labor and materials before rebate) and thermostat make/model
  2. Photo of the installed thermostat

    Fill out the online residential rebate application to get started.

    Print & Mail

    Fill out either the Smart Thermostat Rebate Application (PDF) or Line Voltage Thermostat Rebate Application (PDF) and mail it to the PUD for processing.

    What Happens Next?

    • Please allow 6-8 weeks after the receipt of a complete application for processing.
    • Rebate cannot exceed the total project costs.
    • Payment is by check mailed to the customer.
