Governance Process 

The Board of Commissioners of Public Utility District No. 1 of Chelan County (Chelan PUD) exists as the whole of the elected members; unless specifically stated in law, regulation or policy, individual Commissioners or Committees may not act on behalf of Chelan PUD.

The members and officers of the Board are mutually responsible for working together as a team, to make full use of and benefit from the experience, insight, and expertise of all members.

Board-Staff Linkages 

Chelan PUD’s Board and staff work together by following clear roles: only the full Board can make binding decisions, and the General Manager oversees running the utility and carrying out the Board’s direction. Staff support this work through defined reporting lines. These processes keep the organization accountable and on track.
