Lincoln Rock State Park will house up to 400 firefighters and their equipment starting Oct. 1. To make room for fire camp operations, parts of the park will be temporarily closed, including the boat launch, the large parking lot, and the day-use area east of the campground.
Most park amenities will remain open, including the sport courts, playground and public camping. Limited parking is available in the overflow parking lot, near the picnic shelter.
“We appreciate everyone’s patience and flexibility while we support the ongoing fire efforts,” Parks Manager Ryan Baker said.
