Transmission line maintenance may impact traffic along Worthen Street

by Rachel Hansen | May 02, 2023

Drivers on Worthen Street in Wenatchee may encounter one-lane, flagger-controlled traffic between Thurston Street and the walking bridge through the end of May.

PUD crews will remove three transmission wires from overhead utility poles along Worthen Street. A few poles will be replaced, and the top of the transmission poles will be reconfigured to maintain reliable service.

Crews will work Tuesday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. There may be periodic road closures of 5 to 10 minutes at different times and areas throughout the project. Parking along the west side of Worthen Street will be unavailable at times.

Crews will not work after 9 a.m. on Friday, May 5, to accommodate Apple Blossom traffic and parking.

Please follow flagger instructions and roadway signs. For more information, contact the customer outreach team at customeroutreach@chelanpud.org, or call 509-661-8563.
