As part of hydropower operations, we've also built 14 parks that serve more than 3 million visitors each year.

The natural scenic beauty of the Wenatchee Valley provides a vivid backdrop to its thriving economy, where the quality of life is high and the climate is moderate with four distinct seasons, including more than 200 days of sunshine!

We are a small town to some and big city to others. We invest in our children and believe that education is the key to our future success.

JOB POSTING

Over the past few years, Chelan PUD has been on a journey to become the most reliable, resilient and safest utility we can be.  We reached out to, and learned from, some of HPI’s most respected thought leaders and practitioners.  We have embraced the principle of Human Performance to understand “how” we all can and will err, and how to reduce the frequency and severity of errors. We are committed to placing a higher value on organizational factors that drive culture and individual behaviors rather than the individuals themselves.  We have formulated the following HPI Principles as part of our foundational frame work:
1. We all Make Errors
2. These errors follow recurring patterns, and are predictable and manageable
3. Curiosity drives us to examine our practices and learn from our errors
4. As employees, we are the solution, not the problem
5. Excellence is not the absence of failure, but the presence of process and defenses

Our Safety/HPI Motto, “4 not 2”, means we choose to provide Safety/HPI guidance for our employees not to our employees.
