Chelan County PUD

Chelan County Public Utility District was formed in 1936 by local voters who wanted affordable power for all county residents. We delivered our first electricity 11 years later, to a small group of customers near Lake Chelan. Today, we operate three hydro projects that deliver clean, renewable, low-cost energy to local residents and to other utilities that serve millions of residents of the Pacific Northwest.

Tuesday, Oct. 6 – Trust: Discover ways to save energy and money, learn about rebates and income-qualified programs, and including Chelan PUD’s 25% Bill Assistance Program.

Public Power Week is an annual celebration during the first full week of October when utilities across the nation connect with customers and highlight the benefits and services of community-owned utilities.

“Public power is about neighbors helping neighbors,” said Commissioner Randy Smith. “Chelan PUD empowers the communities we serve by providing world-class parks, good jobs, and affordable, reliable utility services.”
