Park visitors at Chelan Powerhouse Park may notice a few traffic delays starting Sept. 8 as crews install a new underground pipe between Chelan Falls Acclimation Facility and the City of Chelan Treatment Plant on Chelan Falls Road.

Park users may experience one-lane traffic and short delays near the park entrance starting Monday. After the pipe is installed in the park, crews will continue down Chelan Falls Road to the treatment facility. Drivers can expect traffic control and one-lane closures for a week or two on Chelan Falls Road, beginning in mid-September.

The work will generally occur between 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The project is expected to wrap up for the winter on Oct. 15.
