Issues and Interests

At Chelan County PUD, we count knowledge and information among our most valuable assets. We dedicate millions of dollars to research, and we use what we learn to protect and enhance the environment for fish and wildlife while producing clean, renewable energy. We believe that sharing knowledge can help us all be better stewards of our world.

Time to celebrate! Chelan PUD is powered by you

by Kimberlee Craig | Oct 07, 2019
Customer-owned utilities across the country highlight community benefits Oct. 6-13

Essential services provided at cost by your neighbors - that’s something to celebrate and we are, Oct. 6-13.

Chelan PUD joins customer-owned utilities across the nation each October to highlight the community benefits of public power.

Here, those benefits include low power rates, great parks, carbon-free energy and the chance to talk over issues at the grocery store or coffee shop with your locally elected PUD commissioners.

It also is the time we thank our customer-owners for staying connected and involved in important efforts like strategic planning. Join us to celebrate the benefits of public power in Chelan County.

Oct. 9 – 1-5 p.m. - Enjoy doughnuts and cider on us at our Chelan and Leavenworth offices.

Oct. 11 – 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. - Enjoy doughnuts and cider on us at our Wenatchee office.

Oct.  13 – 1-4 p.m. – Sign up for a free home energy audit & get a peek into the Discovery Center’s future at Fall Harvest Roundup at Rocky Reach Dam. (Costumes encouraged!)

Clean Powered, Conservation Powered and People Powered – there’s so much to celebrate during Public Power Week 2019.
