Chelan PUD to replace power poles along South Chelan ave.

by Teka Sellers | Mar 17, 2017
Relocation of existing Chelan PUD equipment, including electrical poles and wires, is required to accommodate the City of Wenatchee’s roadway improvement project on South Chelan Ave., from Peachy to Ferry streets, beginning Monday, March 20.

There will be traffic impacts, including some periodic road closures in some sections of the work area, through the duration of the project, which could last six weeks. PUD crew work hours are generall Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. We encourage drivers to avoid the area if possible, using Mission St. or other routes.

Customers in the area have been informed that street parking might be impacted and driveways might be blocked periodically during work hours. There could also be short power outages, and customers will be notified with details prior to any planned outage.

For more information on the City of Wenatchee’s Chelan Avenue Sidewalk Project, go to www.wenatcheewa.gov and search for “Chelan Avenue Sidewalk Project.”
