Summer Science Adventure Week (1st – 3rd Grade)

Wednesday, July 5th, 2017:
9:00 – 10:00    "A Whole Lot of Energy" Students will experience numerous transfers of energy using plasma balls, spectrum glasses, spinning magnets, etc.

10:00 – 10:30 – Museum Scavenger Hunt – Students will be challenged to find and identify certain facts about each display.

10:30 – 10:45 – Snack Time

10:45 – 11:30 – "Round and Round She Goes" – Students will learn and experience centrifugal and centripetal energy.

Thursday, July 6th, 2017:
9:00 – 10:00 – "Fish Skin and Fish Guts" - Students will discover internal and external fish anatomy.

10:00 – 10:30 – Snack & Play Time (Park Playground)

10:30 – 11:30 - "Global Satellite Positioning" – Students will be introduced to GPS units and work in teams to locate hidden treasures using a GPS unit.

Friday, July 7th, 2017:
