Nahahum Canyon Cable Replacement


Starting the week of June 21, Chelan County PUD will replace underground electrical cable in the Nahahum Canyon area. First, contract crews will excavate and install new conduit underground, then PUD crews will pull new cable. This work is required to replace aging equipment and maintain electric service reliability to customers in the area.

When & What to Expect

  • Work is scheduled to occur June 21 – 30, 2021 and working hours are generally 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

  • Work will take place roughly in the vicinity of house numbers in the 9600 block of Nahahum Canyon Road (see map).

  • You will see contractor and PUD crews in the work area, and significant traffic impacts are anticipated.

  • During work hours, traffic delays of up to 30 minutes should be expected while crews move excavation equipment out of the way.

  •  Drivers should use alternate routes or avoid driving through the area during work hours.

  • Power outages will be needed and affected customers will be notified with details prior to any outage.
