SALARY RANGE

The position will be filled at varying levels. In addition to a competitive salary range (based on qualifications, skills and abilities), Chelan PUD employees also enjoy outstanding benefits which include the option of a zero cost medical plan (medical, dental and vision for all eligible dependents), short and long-term disability, Washington State Public Employee's Retirement System, Deferred Compensation (with company matching funds up to 5%), 11 holidays and initial personal leave accrual at 21 days per year. 

Level I: $84,880 - $106,100; Level II: $91,360 - $114,200

Introductory Period: New employees holding regular positions must complete an introductory period of twelve months.

JOB POSTING

JOB PURPOSE:
The position will be filled at level I or II based on incumbent's knowledge, skills and abilities.  The incumbent will manage the full lifecycle of a work order from service, outage, preventive or corrective maintenance requests. This includes developing work procedures for skilled trades crews relying on existing or similar processes; develop resource (labor, materials, tools and vehicle) estimates and secure resources; maintain or adjust basic schedules and develop project work breakdown structures for small projects; participate in workforce coordination, scheduling, and preventive maintenance plan activities; acquire and maintain asset information in data systems and run reports, identify variances and present information to management.

JOB FUNCTIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function of the job satisfactorily. Essential functions are those activities that, if not performed, would significantly and fundamentally alter the position.

# EF Job Functions
1. EF Generate, develop, monitor, report, adjust status and close out work orders related to service, outage, preventive or corrective maintenance requests. Utilize standards to develop safe, compliant, and efficient work procedures and work packages for crews. Develop resource estimates. Secure necessary resources (tools, equipment, and personnel). Develop work packets and/or procedures for work relying on existing or similar processes, procedures, or historical data. Validate and verify work packet or job plans with crafts.

2. EF Monitor and validate the accuracy of the Dynamic Workplan (DWP) utilizing standardized and ad-hoc reports. Identify resources, conflicts, and recommend solutions.

3. EF Acquire (CMMS) asset information and enter and maintain data such as serial numbers, specifications, maintenance history, operating status (surplus, spare parts), naming conventions, location hierarchy, and asset location.  Level II incumbents maintain and monitor the CMMS asset class and subclass records nad attributes. Develops asset specifications and trains users in the use of CMMS.

4. EF Run routine work order reports and provide/present data. Participate in workforce coordination/scheduling meetings.

5. EF Identify significant variances in work order actuals compared to planned.

6. EF Schedule and sequence project work. Adjust dates for the best placement of routine work within a project. Develop project work breakdown structure (WBS) for small projects made up of one to a few assets.

7. EF Participate in the maintenance of the preventive maintenance program. Verify the information is complete, accurate and effectively documented. Update as needed.

8. EF Develop the ability to navigate the outage management system. Level II incumbents prepare critical path charts utilizing different applications. Uses outage management system to coordinate outage with maintenance plan. Facilitate pre/post outage coordination meetings.

9. EF Level II incumbents act as duty supervisor for 24x7 asset operations on a rotating basis.

10.. EF Ongoing Drive a motorized vehicle while conducting business on behalf of the District.

11. EF Ongoing Maintain regular and predictable attendance. Perform related duties and responsibilities as required. Comply with District policies. Complete all required training. Maintain a working knowledge and comply with District safety procedures and specific safety requirements of this position, and those in accordance with applicable provisions of the Revised Code of Washington (RCW) and Washington Administrative Code (WAC).

QUALIFICATIONS: The qualifications listed below are representative of those required, but reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job.

Post-Secondary Education:
Requires completion of a JATC or NJATC wireman or mechanic apprenticeship or a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business, or related field, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience:
Typically requires a minimum of two (2) years’ utility work experience, such as a state certified electrician, power generation electrician or mechanic, millwright or experience in a similar journey or career level occupation providing comparable knowledge of plant systems and equipment. Candidates without utility work experience require a minimum of five (5) years experience developing complete and accurate work procedures with an emphasis on worker safety. Utility experience preferred for level II incumbents.

To perform this job successfully, an individual is required to have basic or intermediate knowledge of PeopleSoft Financials; PeopleSoft Timekeeping/HR; Microsoft Outlook; Microsoft Excel; Microsoft Word and Maximo Asset Management.

LICENSE REQUIREMENTS

A valid driver's license is required for this position (verified upon hire).  A valid Washington State driver's license is required within 30 days of employment.
