CONTRACT RATE

JOB POSTING
JOB PURPOSE:
Support Generation or Utility Services operations and maintenance by serving them with materials, equipment and services needed to meet District objectives. This position has numerous responsibilities relating to procuring, issuing, receiving, storing, tracking and delivering materials for internal and external customers in a safe, efficient, professional and timely manner.
JOB FUNCTIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function of the job satisfactorily. Secondary functions (SF) are activities not fundamental to the job and may need to be relaxed to accommodate an otherwise qualified applicant with a disability. No. EF/SF % of Time Job Functions
1. EF 50% Issue, distribute and return materials from District warehouse stores to crews and contractors. Account for warehouse materials utilizing the District’s Maximo inventory control system. Perform cycle counts as needed to maintain accurate inventory control of warehouse materials and items.
2. EF 25% Ship and receive materials purchased for District purposes into warehouse stores and implement appropriate accounting and quality control procedures to account for the use of said materials.
3. EF 10% Pack and unpack items to be stocked in warehouses. Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to foreman or supervisor.
4. EF 10% Keep warehouses and District property neat, orderly and clean. This includes the warehouse storeroom, vehicles and dock area assigned to the warehouse.
5. EF 5% Deliver materials and items to Generation job sites, when planned and scheduled ahead of time, within the District service area. Provide assistance to customers entering the warehouse.
6. SF Ongoing Provide backup tool room duties as needed for Generation crews at Central Maintenance Rocky Reach and Rock Island.
7. EF Ongoing Seasonal positions may provide backup flagging duties as needed for Distribution line crews in Wenatchee only.
8. EF Ongoing Drive a motorized vehicle while conducting business on behalf of the District.
9. EF Ongoing Maintain regular and predictable attendance. Perform related duties and responsibilities as required. Comply with District policies. Complete all required training. Maintain a working knowledge and comply with District safety procedures and specific safety requirements of this position, and those in accordance with applicable provisions of the Revised Code of Washington (RCW) and Washington Administrative Code (WAC).

Post-Secondary Education:
No higher-level education required.
Experience:
Typically requires two (2) years of warehouse experience. Experience issuing and returning materials, shipping and receiving and inventory control is preferred.

• Ability to manage one’s own time efficiently and while working independently.

Language Skills:
Candidate must be proficient in reading, writing and speaking English.
Computers & Equipment: A fully skilled incumbent will have the ability to utilize the following software, hardware, or equipment:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of PeopleSoft Receiving system Accounting software; Maximo Inventory software; Maximo Order processing systems; Microsoft Excel; Microsoft Outlook; and Microsoft Word. An individual should also have knowledge of and be able to operate general office equipment such as printers, faxes, label machines and copiers; and other equipment such as small hand tools, floor sweepers, forklifts, ladders and aerial man-lifts. An individual should be able to properly use personal protective equipment such as hardhats, fall restraint harnesses, ear plugs, safety glasses, face shields, respirators, confined space rescue equipment, etc.

LICENSE REQUIREMENTS
A valid driver's license is required for this position (verified upon hire). A valid Washington State driver's license is required within 30 days of employment.
