- Be a great place to work!
Chelan County PUD has seven measurable, strategic objectives that guide what it wants to accomplish. There is also a list of PUD values (linked at right) that lives side-by-side with the strategic objectives.
The seven strategic objectives are shown below on a strategy map that is part of a strategic planning tool known as the Balanced Scorecard. Rather than taking into account only financial results, the Balanced Scorecard reminds its users that an organization’s strategic plan should also consider how it improves its workforce and its physical assets, how it works on internal relationships, how it achieves financial stability and ultimately how it serves its external audience or customers.
Each of these strategic objectives has measurable indicators that are tracked throughout the year to tell the PUD if it is on track in reaching its goals. Managers look at them regularly. The PUD’s list of values (see Quick Links) covers important qualities that often prove difficult to measure but are an equally important part of any long-term strategy.
