The initial design concepts take into consideration the PUD’s responsibility for resource stewardship, energy efficiency, convenience, productivity, safety and aesthetics. If a decision is made by the PUD Commissioners to move forward with consolidated facilities, the initial concepts will be refined through a comprehensive design process. In addition, the PUD will be reaching out to customer-owners throughout Chelan County to get an idea of what they would like to see visually in the new facility that would represent their communities. Staff and architectural consultants will look at (to name a few):

- Agricultural-based economy
- Geology
- The rivers and our dams
- Mountains and forests
