Customer Services Emerson Acres Line Extension Backbone Project

Emerson Acres property owners have asked Chelan County PUD to provide a cost estimate to extend an electrical distribution system approximately 3.35 miles from Upper Joe Creek Road to serve an isolated area along Lake Chelan, north of Manson. Approximately 31 lot owners initially have agreed to share a portion of the cost to extend power to these lots.

Access to this area is via one unimproved gravel road. There are approximately 40 lots that eventually would be served by this line. Many of these lots would only be served by additional line extensions off of this proposed main line at additional expense to the owners. There is only one full-time resident; the rest of the area consists of small recreational cabins and unimproved land. The existing cabins use small, gas-powered generators or solar collectors for their energy needs.
