PUD Med Line

Customers who rely on life-sustaining equipment are a concern for us. Please let us know if you are dependent on a kidney dialysis machine, a ventilator, or other such equipment. E‑mail or call our Customer Service Department at (509) 661-4233. Customers using life-sustaining equipment can ask to be placed on our Med Line notification list. During unscheduled outages, we will attempt to restore service as quickly as possible to individuals with these special medical needs. We cannot and do not guarantee uninterrupted services. If a power outage would create a problem for you, we recommend that you install or have in place a backup system to support your needs during an outage.

An additional resource is the Chelan County Department of Emergency Management Special Needs Registry. This is for individuals who require assistance in an emergency. Participation in the registry is voluntary and all information is strictly confidential, used only for emergency purposes.

Please contact the Chelan County Department of Emergency Management at (509) 667-6863 for more information or go to the Chelan County Special Needs Registry.

Radio Help

PUD vehicles equipped with radios can provide an instant link between the scene of an accident and emergency response agencies. Vehicles equipped with radios feature Radio Help decals on their doors.

Gatekeeper

The Gatekeeper program provides a link between the vulnerable elderly in our community and agencies geared to assist senior citizens. Meter readers have been trained to watch for signs that might indicate an elderly customer is in distress and to notify appropriate authorities.
