Utility friendly Red Flowering Currant

Utility-friendly Red Flowering Currant is a multi-stem shrub that grows 8-10 ft tall. Blooms early spring with rich red to pink to white flowers in clusters.

Celebrate the power of trees on April 12 at five tree seedling distribution sites in Chelan and Douglas counties.

This year’s Wenatchee Arbor Day celebration is 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Pybus Public Market.

Other tree seedling distributions from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on April 12:

  • Leavenworth - the national fish hatchery, 12790 Fish Hatchery Road
  • Entiat City Hall
  • Orondo - The Market Place


Arbor Day tree and shrub species available this year

The following types of seedlings will be distributed: 

  • Red Alder (Alnus rubra)
  • Red-stem Ceanothus (Ceanothus sanguineus)
  • Red Flowering Currant (Ribes sanguineum
  • Bitter Cherry (Prunus enmarginata)
  • Grand fir (Abies grandis)
  • Western  Larch (Larix occidentalis)
