Utility friendly Common Lilac

Utility friendly Common Lilac, a deciduous shrub, 12-20 ft tall, flowers 4 to 8 inches long, upright clusters, lavender or white, very fragrant.

Celebrate the power of trees on April 11 at five tree seedling distribution sites in Chelan and Douglas counties.

This year’s Wenatchee Arbor Day celebration is 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Walla Walla Point Park, shelter #1.

Other tree seedling distributions from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on April 11:

  • Cashmere - Martin’s Market, 130 Titchenal Wy
  • Leavenworth - the national fish hatchery, 12790 Fish Hatchery Road
  • Entiat City Hall
  • Orondo - The Market Place

Arbor Day tree and shrub species available this year

The following types of seedlings will be distributed: 

  • Quaking Aspen   (Populus tremuloides )
  • Rose of Sharon    (Hibiscus syriacus)
  • Colorado Blue Spruce   (Picea pungens)
  • Wild Mock Orange      (Philadelphus lewisii)
  • Common Lilac   (Syringa vulgaris)
  • Vine Maple (Acer circinatum)
