Utility-friendly Mock Orange has fragrant, white flowers and thrives in almost any garden soil.
Celebrate the power of trees on April 21 at six tree seedling distribution sites in Chelan and Douglas counties.
This year’s Wenatchee Arbor Day celebration is 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Walla Walla Point Park shelter across from the Town Toyota Center.
Other tree seedling distributions from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on April 21:
- Cashmere - Clifford’s Hardware, 127 Cottage Ave.
- Leavenworth - The national fish hatchery, 12790 Fish Hatchery Road
- Entiat - City Hall
- Orondo - The Market Place
- Manson - Grange Hall, 157 Wapato Way
Arbor Day tree and shrub species available this year
The following types of seedlings will be distributed:
- Fraser Fir - evergreen tree
- Spice Bush - flower/bush
- Chinese fringe tree - flower/tree
- Late Lilac - flower/bush
- Mock Orange - flower/bush
- Rugosa Rose - flower/bush
- Douglas Fir - evergreen tree
