Careers Students

High School Students

Job-shadow experiences are available for high-school students in operations, engineering, power resources, communications, finance and customer service. Job-shadowing is designed to encourage students to explore the utility industry as a career option. Students should work directly with their school career counselor to request a partial-day job-shadow experience.

College Students

We periodically offer employment opportunities for college students, including a structured internship program for engineering students. We look for talented, enthusiastic and skilled individuals who have excellent communication skills and enjoy working in a team environment.

Participating students work up to 20 hours per week during the academic year and full time during the summer and academic breaks, if work is available. Our student positions emphasize the student's full-time enrollment in school.

While the participating students receive valuable work experience, Chelan PUD benefits from their expertise in these classifications for college students:

  • Business
