Chelan County PUD
After hearing background last week on how best to determine the amount of cash reserves and other liquidity sources needed to preserve financial stability, Chelan PUD commissioners approved the next steps this week.
They approved a resolution describing the methods that will be used by the financial staff to compute what’s required in PUD reserve accounts for coming years. The action supports the financial principles adopted in the District’s newest Strategic Plan, designed to improve financial stability and reduce the need for large swings in rates from year to year.
In other action Monday, commissioners:
Commissioners recessed their meeting and planned to reconvene at 6 p.m. Monday, Jan. 24, at Michael’s On The Lake, Moses Lake, for the quarterly meeting of Mid-C PUD managers and commissioners.
The Jan. 31 meeting has been canceled. The next regular commission meeting is at 1 p.m. on Monday, Feb 7, in the PUD boardroom at 327 N. Wenatchee Ave.
