2009 Annual Report presents financial results, project updates

Chelan County PUD’s annual report of financial results and project accomplishments is complete for 2009 and can be read on the District Web site at http://www.chelanpud.org/ under “Your PUD – Finance.”

The 78-page report, “Count on us,” shows how the PUD runs a highly reliable utility and includes balance sheets and related statements of revenue, expenses, changes in net assets and cash flow as reviewed by independent auditors PricewaterhouseCoopers. It also contains supplemental financial information required as part of continuing disclosure.

The report opens with a recap of the year’s milestones, including the new 43-year license to operate Rocky Reach Dam, and offers perspective on 2009 from the Board of Commissioners and General Manager Rich Riazzi. Charts in the opening section detail financial reserves, District debt and compare the PUD’s rates (second lowest in the nation) with regional and national averages.

As part of doing business in a cost-efficient and sustainable manner, the PUD is printing copies of the annual report by request only.
