Chelan County PUD
News Release
4/19/2010
In order for work crews to string new power lines on the east side of the Columbia River, all ramps to and from the George Sellar Bridge will be closed to traffic periodically for 10-minutes at a time from midnight Thursday to 5 a.m. Friday morning.
Flaggers will stop traffic at the various access roads on the east end of the bridge, including Hwy. 28. Cars headed onto the bridge from the Wenatchee side will be stopped on the main bridge approach. After the brief delays, traffic will be allowed to proceed across the bridge until the next 10-minute closure.
Chelan County PUD contract crews are relocating a 115-kv transmission line that runs along the east side of the Columbia River in connection with the highway and bridge reconfiguration being done by the state Department of Transportation. Additional temporary closures can be expected in coming weeks.
