Chelan County PUD
News Release
4/9/2010
With upgrades to its Web site (www.chelanpud.org) and a new Facebook page for the Rocky Reach Visitor Center, Chelan County PUD is making it easier for customer-owners to find interesting, timely information and find out about PUD services.
New Web site features include a section on the far right of the home page called Spotlight, a place where the PUD will highlight PUD projects and employees. Now featured (with video) is the District’s vehicle idle reduction program, which saves the utility money and reduces exhaust emissions.
A poll section is also new, where site visitors can respond to a brief question and see results instantly. This week’s poll asks about using CFL bulbs that the PUD has given away to conserve energy.
On the Talk to Us page, customers will find listings for all three PUD offices and links related to the most common customer inquiries, such as energy conservation. They will also find links to the PUD’s Twitter account, www.Twitter.com/CCPUD and a new Facebook page for Rocky Reach Visitor Center. Customers can visit www.Facebook.com/VisitRockyReach to see photos, videos and facts about the dam, as well as events planned at the center. The new Facebook page has already attracted almost 60 fans.
The Way We Were, a gallery of the PUD’s historic photos, sits on the bottom right of the updated home page. Customer-owners are encouraged to browse the images and look back at the utility’s rich history.
Overall layout of the site has been widened for easier reading and better display of information.
