Storm damages PUD equipment near Plain

Power is expected to be out until 3:30 p.m. Monday for about 100 Chelan County PUD customers in Ponderosa Pines near Plain as PUD crews repair damaged equipment at two locations. Up to 800 customers may have been affected when reports of the outage first came in about 8:45 a.m., but power was restored tor many of them by rerouting service.

The damage appears related to the wet, heavy snow that fell overnight. Crews are repairing cross arms on a power pole at the intersection of Stetson and Quarter roads and replacing a power pole on Saddle Street.
