Chelan County PUD office hours will change for Nov. 27

Chelan County PUD
News Release
11/20/2009

Chelan County PUD’s Leavenworth and Chelan offices will be closed to the public on Friday, Nov. 27, the day after Thanksgiving, and customer service at the Wenatchee office will be limited.

Customers who need to pay bills on Nov. 27 can use drop-off boxes at all three offices or the PUD’s online bill payment system, Power Pay. The cashier desk and other customer account services at the Wenatchee Headquarters will be closed. No utility service will be disconnected on Nov. 27. The Service Building at the Wenatchee headquarters will also be closed to the public.

“We’re encouraging customers to wait until Monday if they have questions about their bill, want to make a payment in person or need to start, stop or change service,” said John Stoll, PUD Customer Service director.

Stoll said in past years not many customer visit PUD offices on the day after Thanksgiving. With the District facing tight finances, the move will help trim costs without a big impact on customer service, he said.

All offices will be open to receive payments as usual at 8 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 30.
