Road closure needed for power pole work in Cashmere area

   Work to replace a damaged power pole will require that Goodwin Road in Cashmere be closed from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Dec. 1, 2 and 3 (Monday-Tuesday-Wednesday)  because the pole is in a location near the road and the bridge that crosses the Wenatchee River near Highway 2/97.

   Crews from Chelan County PUD need to replace the approximately 60-foot pole because it has been partially burned. Flaggers will alert traffic to the closures all three days, and signs will be visible along the nearby highway access ramps informing motorists of the closure. Drivers will be able to use Goodwin Road  before 8 a.m. each day and after 3 p.m.

   Electric power will be switched to other lines in the vicinity so all customers will continue to have  service while the pole work is completed. No outages are expected.
