2008 season ends at Rocky Reach Visitor Center

Nearly 50,000 people visited Rocky Reach Dam and Visitor Center this year, which closed for the season at 4 p.m. today. The center will reopen for the 2009 season on March 14, 2009, offering free powerhouse tours, exhibits in the Museum of the Columbia, art displays and fish viewing.

To reserve a Rocky Reach park shelter for the 2009 season, contact Shani Nadeau at (509) 663-7522 after Jan. 2, 2009. To schedule a tour of Rocky Reach Dam contact Debbie Gallaher at (509) 661-4960, or go to www.chelanpud.org and search on “Visitor Center tour request.”
