Riverfront Park boat launch is open

Repairs at the Wenatchee Riverfront Park boat launch on the Columbia River will be delayed, which means the launch near the foot of Orondo Avenue is open this week.

The project was delayed when it was determined additional equipment will be needed. The work is now planned to be done before the end of November.

Pipkin Construction of Wenatchee will repair two sections at the end of the pavement on the launch that were damaged by prop wash from boats. The contractor will excavate, shape and fill the two sections with rock as part of the $25,000 project.   

Wenatchee Riverfront Park runs along the Columbia River in downtown Wenatchee and is owned and operated by Chelan County PUD under recreation plans required by the federal license to operate Rock Island Dam.
