Tree in the line interrupts power near Leavenworth

Wind pushed a tree into a power line northwest of Leavenworth up Eagle Creek about 9:15 Tuesday morning, interrupting power to about 600 Chelan County PUD customers in the Chumstick Canyon and Eagle Creek areas.

PUD crews have located the damaged power pole and lines along Eagle Creek Road, just off the Chumstick Highway. Crews plan to reroute electric service to restore power to most customers in Chumstick Canyon within the hour. About 150 customers are expected to be without power along Eagle Creek road while repairs are made. No estimate is available for when power will be restored in Eagle Creek.
