Riverfront Park boat launch to close Oct. 13-17

Wenatchee Riverfront Park boat launch near the foot of Orondo Avenue on the Columbia River will be closed Oct. 13-17 for repairs.

Pipkin Construction of Wenatchee will repair two sections at the end of the pavement on the launch that were damaged by prop wash from boats. The contractor will excavate, shape and fill the two sections with rock at a cost of about $25,000 project.   

Wenatchee Riverfront Park runs along the Columbia River in downtown Wenatchee and is owned and operated by Chelan County PUD under recreation plans required by the federal license to operate Rock Island Dam.
