Event to celebrate park named for public power advocate
Chelan County PUD invites customer-owners and friends and family of the late Kirby Billingsley, public power advocate and former PUD general manager and commissioner, to a celebration of renaming Rock Island Hydro Park in his honor.

Chelan County PUD fiber-optic access now available to 25,000
The PUD's utility service crews hit a new milestone with 25,000 homes, businesses, schools and hospitals throughout Chelan County now having fiber access.
The District began construction of the fiber network in 1999, and work continues to bring fiber access to 95 percent of the PUD’s home and business customers, about 40,000 premises, by 2012.
In 2008, the District increased building to the more remote areas of Lake Wenatchee and Plain, providing residents an affordable choice for high-speed Internet, television and telephone service with local service providers over the PUD’s fiber network.
