Visitor Center hours change for fall

Starting on Monday, Sept. 1, the Visitor Center at Rocky Reach Dam will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.

Activities at the Visitor Center include powerhouse tours, exhibits in the Museum of the Columbia, art displays, movies in the theater and fish viewing.

The Museum of the Columbia will close at 3:30 p.m. daily. Rocky Reach Dam Park will be open until 6 p.m. through September.

Rocky Reach grounds and shelter hours will change to 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Oct. 1.

The center’s annual winter closure will begin on Friday, Oct. 31, and the center will reopen to visitors for the 2009 season in mid-March.

Rocky Reach Visitor Center is located seven miles north of Wenatchee on Highway 97A.
