PUD expands warehouse space near Loop Trail

Users of the Apple Capital Loop Trail near Chelan County PUD’s Hawley Street warehouse will see construction activity in late August and early September and are asked to use extra care along that section of the trail.

The PUD is increasing storage at its Hawley Street warehouse by expanding onto a half-acre property owned by the PUD that borders the trail north of its existing fenced storage yard.

PUD contractor Rayfield Brothers will begin Aug. 25 to prepare the site, lay crushed rock and expand the fence to secure the new area.

During construction, the trail will be open to the public.
