Rocky Reach Visitor Center is offering free weekly programs starting in mid-June and running through August for school-aged children.
Taught by visitor center staff, the classes are tailored for the grade school scientist and include materials with follow-up activities to do at home. Second- through fourth-grade classes run from 9:30-11 a.m. every Tuesday until Aug. 26. Fifth- through seventh-grade classes run from 9:30-11 a.m. every Wednesday until Aug. 27. Class topics include magnets, airplanes, weather and space travel.
In addition, the Visitor Center will host a one-day program on June 19 called Trees Are Terrific. Students will learn about the trees in Rocky Reach Park as they play games and do activities to learn their names and unique features. This event runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Chelan County PUD welcomes visitors to tour the exhibits and the Museum of the Columbia at their leisure. Guides are on hand to answer questions and provide in-depth tours. The Visitor Center is open 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. daily including Saturday and Sunday.
Rocky Reach Dam is seven miles north of Wenatchee on Highway 97A.
