Patrick Moore Presentations
7 p.m., June 3, Big Bend Community College (ATEC Bldg.), Moses Lake
7 p.m., June 4, Wenatchee High School, Wenatchee
Mid-Columbia PUDs are pleased to host two community presentations by Patrick Moore, Ph.D., a founding member and former president of Greenpeace, who is now chair and chief scientist of the environmental consulting firm Greenspirit Strategies.
As a leader of the international environmental movement for more than 30 years, Moore reveals the myths and misinformation that distort current environmental debates. He calls for issues to be discussed on the basis of accurate scientific data, a search for consensus and the creation of sustainable solutions.
Chelan, Douglas and Grant County PUDs invite you to attend these free presentations, offered as part of their continuing commitment to environmental stewardship.
Commissioners from the three PUDs discussed their decision to invite Moore in this six-minute audio file of an interview on KOHO radio with Clint Strand.
On Wednesday, June 4, Clint hosted a debate between Moore and Arjun Makhajani, Ph.D., author of Carbon-Free and Nuclear-Free: A Roadmap for U.S. Energy Policy (2007). This is a 30-minute audio segment.
