New office being constructed for Manson Parks

Chelan County PUD
News Release
4/4/2008

Construction of a new Manson Bay Parks Office Building to replace an older building that had to be demolished will begin Monday, April 7, and is expected to take about four months, according to project managers for the Chelan County PUD.

The new two-story building near the south end of Manson Bay Park at 142 Pedoi St. will have 1,920 square feet. No long-term road closures are expected with the work, but heavy equipment including trucks, backhoes and trenching equipment will be in the area of Pedoi Street during construction. Temporary traffic slowdowns can be expected throughout the work day (7 a.m. to 5 p.m.), and workers will direct traffic accordingly.

Blodgett Construction of Malaga was awarded the contract for the work in the amount of $378,490. Manson Bay is one of the parks built by Chelan County PUD under its license obligations for recreation at Lake Chelan. It is operated by Manson Parks and Recreation.
