Chelan County PUD
News Release
3/21/2008
Chelan County PUD commissioners will consider declaring surplus a 1.4-acre parcel located in Chelan County eight miles north of Beebe Bridge at a hearing at 1 p.m. on April 7, 2008. The hearing will be held as part of the regular PUD commission meeting in the boardroom at 327 N. Wenatchee Ave., in Wenatchee.
If declared surplus to District needs, the PUD intends to trade the property to the Goodfellow Trust in exchange for flowage easements over portions of Goodfellow's adjoining 20 acres.
The 1.4 acres has no legal access and was acquired for flood control. It is in the Rocky Reach Project reservoir boundary. The property is next to the Cascade and Columbia Railroad track on the west, Goodfellow property on the north and south and the Columbia River on the east.
